MBA Alums Square Off in Little League World Series
The 2014 Little League World Series will feature two MBA alums who are coaching participating teams in Williamsport, PA. Grant Martin '96 is an assistant coach for the South Nashville team facing Taney, PA coached by Alex Rice '88.
The Taney team is the first team ever from Philadelphia to qualify for the LLWS. They are known this year for featuring a female pitcher, Mo'ne Davis, who threw a complete game shutout to earn the berth in the series.
The South Nashville team is back in the LLWS for the second straight year. Rising 8th grader Blake Kirchenbauer played on last year's team.
The two teams play today at 2:00 p.m. on ESPN.
