  • Group Read & Conversation – John Green's new novel, Turtles All the Way Down
Mr. Bassett is hosting a one-time, 50-minute book conversation about John Green's new novel, Turtles All the Way Down. John Green is The New York Times bestselling author of The Fault in Our Stars, one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in the World, and co-founder of the YouTube series VlogBrothers and CrashCourse.
 
The conversation is open to all MBA students (junior and high school), faculty, staff, parents, and other community members. It will be held on Monday, November 27, from 7:00 a.m.–7:50 a.m., in the Wilson Library Innovation Room. Read Turtles All the Way Down over Thanksgiving break, and return to school with a fun conversation about your reading experience.
 
MBA's Wilson Library has a few copies of the new novel, and Parnassus Books has several signed, first-edition copies left for purchase. Email Mr. Bassett at win.bassett@montgomerybell.edu with any questions.
  • AUDITION FOR THE RESISTIBLE RISE OF ARTURO UI by BERTOLT BRECHT
There will be an audition for the next high school play on MONDAY 4th DEC @ 3.30PM  in the PASCHALL THEATRE
 
WANTED: 12 MALE ACTORS, TECH CREW, GRAPHIC SCENERY DESIGNER & MUSICIANS
OPEN TO ALL GRADES 7-12
This innovative and stylistic play chronicles the rise of a fictional 1930's Chicago mobster and his attempts to control the cauliflower racket by ruthlessly disposing of the opposition. Mr. Morrison will direct this satirical allegory about the rise of Nazism with an ensemble cast and specially composed music for performances on:
22nd – 25th February, 2018
Auditions require no preparation. Speeches from the play will be given out on the day.
