All Arts Camp
July 24-28 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Cost: $300 (Lunch is not included)
For boys and girls in rising grades 4-7
Limit 28 campers

This interactive camp is designed to provide students with exposure to the visual and performing arts. Activities will include classroom time creating artwork in music, theatre, and the art studio. Field trips will be an integral part of the week including possible trips to the Nashville Children’s Theatre, The Frist Center for Visual Arts, and a performance with musicians from the Nashville Symphony. Come explore the arts at MBA this summer. Campers will need to bring a lunch for this camp.

Brain Camp
July 24-28 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Cost: $280
For boys and girls ages 8-14

Brain Camp creates an engaging environment in which your child can discover tools for thriving in school and life! Each day campers, ages 8-14, will be challenged with a variety of fun activities that promote problem-solving, teach memory strategies, and exercise core brain skills. During the week, campers will learn to set S.M.A.R.T goals; compete in fun brain games for prizes and awards; discover life changing principles regarding attitudes, work ethic and motivation; and participate in fast-paced games designed to exercise important cognitive skills including memory, visual processing, and logic & reasoning. Open to boys and girls with a maximum capacity of 18 campers. The camp meets daily from 8:30 am to noon.

Habitat Kids Yoga Camp
July 10-14 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Cost: $165
For boys and girls in rising grades K-4
Limit 16 campers

Join Ashley Ray of Habitat Yoga for a fun-filled week of yoga poses and sequences, fun and creative games, songs, breathing exercises, mindfulness crafts, guided meditations, and more! This camp will teach you how to do many different yoga poses, including challenging inversions, like headstand, handstand, and crow; and we’ll also focus on calming techniques to achieve some balance and zen. Great for kids who enjoy gymnastic activities, have extra energy, have trouble sleeping, or want to gain flexibility and balance to complement their sports training.

LEGOS, Minecraft, LEGOS Robotics and More - Camp Brick/Jenny Thayer
All LEGOS-based camps are $210 for each session, or $170 for a four day session. There will be six weeks of LEGOS-based camps with sessions in the morning and afternoon. Campers staying all day can bring a lunch for in between camps. Please check descriptions below along with dates and times. We will be offering eight different types of LEGOS related camps. All campers will receive a Camp Brick t-shirt.

LEGOS: On Your Mark...Get Set...Build
Week 1: May 30-June 2 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - 4 days, $170

This camp is designed for the child who is already building LEGO® sets with instructions independently. Campers will chose from hundreds of themed sets from which to build. Themes such as Star Wars®, Ninjago®, CITY®, CHIMA®, Atlantis ®,Agents®, LEGO® Movie and more. Campers will be seated by age group and will be encouraged to build independently as well as in small groups on larger projects such as the Death Star and The Taj Mahal. The Camp Brick staff will assist your child if needed and offer helpful building tips as your child builds and displays their creations. A few times during the week campers may enjoy some social games and contests for prizes. At the end of the day campers will display their creations for parents to view. Bring a camera!!

Designed for the younger age child (not yet building sets with instructions), this camp will target everything developing minds and bodies need to thrive. Through the use of LEGO® bricks and other materials, children will engage in activities such as obstacle courses, construction centers, group games, circle time, and more! These diverse activities will help children become more able builders. Activities will increase spatial awareness, hand eye coordination and hand strength. The curriculum for this program was developed by a licensed Occupational Therapist. Your child is sure to have an exciting, creative, and fun-filled week! While it is recommended for ages and 4 and 5 years please call if you think an younger or slightly older child would most enjoy this instructional and play based environment.

The force is strong this summer at Camp Brick. During this exciting week at camp your child will create their very own Jedi costume including cloak and light saber. As a young Jedi part of their training each day will include LEGO building activities as well as Star Wars themed games. Your child will create their very own battle station, build a Jedi fighter, learn about and visit many different galaxies or simply enjoy building one of the hundreds of LEGO Star Wars sets in the Camp Brick library. On Friday a very special Jedi Knight graduation ceremony will take place and a certificate will be awarded to each child. May the force be with you and your young Jedi.

Welcome to the world of Mining and Crafting. At this exciting camp your child will craft and create on their own lap top computer. Throughout the week, your child will be given exciting building challenges in BOTH the creative and survival mode of MINECRAFT ®  BEWARE OF CREEPERS!! Camp Brick has hired some mining experts to help your child learn secrets and short cuts that can be taken home for use on their own MINECRAFT® games. A secure server will be provided for their use during this camp. Maximum 20 campers so SPACE IS LIMITED!
*This camp will also change from week to week so that kids may sign up for more than one camp.

Test your knowledge and skill at MINECRAFT with our Camp Brick Minecraft EXPERTS. In this class we will focus on several advanced crafting skills such as red-stone wiring, advanced survival tactics and the building of advanced structures. Campers will have the opportunity to play in BOTH survival and creative mode. Intense battles and building challenges created by Camp Brick counselors will take place throughout the week.
* Prior MINECRAFT experience is a MUST.

LEGOS - MINDSTORMS Robotics
Week 3: July 3-7 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Camp will be held on the 4th)

Welcome to the exciting world of MINDSTORMS® NXT. Building and Programing is the main content of this camp. While working with a certified LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Instructor, your child will build sophisticated moving robots that can preform different tasks, battle, and compete. Maximum 15 campers so SPACES ARE LIMITED.

LEGOS: Minecraft Stop Motion Camp
Week 5: July 17-21 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

For boys and girls ages 8-14
Maximum 20 campers

Lights ..Camera..Action! Welcome to the exciting world of Stop Motion Movies. This camp will focus on teaching the basics of Stop Motion Movie creation using the exciting worlds of Minecraft and its characters. Each child will learn to write a script, build a set, direct and edit their own Stop Motion movies. Individual as well as group projects will be encouraged. 
Each child should bring their own IPod, IPad, or laptop with camera to class. A free editing software will also need to be downloaded for the week. 
At the end of the week a special You Tube channel will be created so that the kids may share their creations with family and friends. This camp is limited to 20 kids so register now to reserve a space.
*THE ACTUAL GAME OF MINECRAFT WILL NOT BE PLAYED DURING THIS CAMP
 
LEGOS - More Fun with LEGOS

This camp will include: Lego Building, Organized Lego Games, Lego Crafts, and even the opportunity to watch some fun Lego Movies. This camp is great for anyone seeking a full day option who is not participating in Minecraft camp.

MBA LEAD Program (Leadership Excellence Academics Dedication)
For rising 3rd & 4th grade boys and girls: June 26-June 30 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
For rising 5th & 6th grade boys and girls: June 26-June 30 from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $325

The MBA LEAD Program (Leadership Excellence Academics Dedication) is a fun-filled leadership camp. Every young person is a potential leader. The MBA LEAD faculty will help campers develop skills for future leadership roles including tools for teamwork, building self-confidence, effective communication skills (oral and written), problem-solving techniques, and efficient use of technology. Campers will have leadership training activities with built-in academic review in Math, Science, English, and Computer.

MBA LEAD emphasizes hands-on learning through role-playing activities, multi-media presentations, and various projects. Topics include:
Planning and Organizing: (Let’s plan a trip to Disney World.)
Teamwork (We are all pieces of the puzzle.)
Self-confidence: (I knew that I could do it!)
Learning to Value Others
Strengthened Academic Foundation: Math, Science, English, and Computer
Day-to-Day Utilization of Technology: Implementation of state-of-the-art presentation tools, and various software applications for activities and projects

Mr. Bond & The Science Guys
Mr. Bond has won numerous awards for education programs, camp programs and library events, including the Best of Nashville Award from The Scene and several others from Parent Magazine. He has provided science programs to thousands of children in public and private schools throughout Middle Tennessee over a ten year period. He has also taught a broad range of science topics including chemistry, physics, engineering and biology to children aged 5-18 years. Mr. Bond is an experienced public speaker who has the ability to makes science exciting and relatable to children. Mr. Bond will be present but may not be at camp everyday. Professor Graybeard and others will also be in attendance.

Science-Rocket to Mars! (With Mr. Bond and The Science Guys)
May 30 - June 2nd from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Cost: $175
Open to boys and girls in rising grades K-4

Rocket to Mars! has the kids launching rockets, building eggstronaut re-entry craft and a mini rover! We will investigate what it’s like to live in space during the long journey; how to get to Mars, and how to survive there.

Science-Crazy Chemistry (With Mr. Bond and the Science Guys)
July 17-21 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Cost: $180 or $300 if combined with Environmental Camp for a full day.
Open to boys and girls in rising grades K-4

Explosions, bubbling potions, chemical reactions! Kids will make elephant toothpaste, freeze fruit with liquid nitrogen, create 30 foot geysers with cool chemicals and learn about the elements on our huge periodic table. Totally hands-on and age appropriate.

Science-Engineering Camp (With Mr. Bond and The Science Guys)
July 17-21 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Cost: $180 or $300 if combined with Crazy Chemistry for a full day.
Open to boys and girls in rising grades K-4

Be an engineer! Learn how engineering is in everything we do! Hands on learning where kids will Design bridges, Create robots, and Test out circuitry with DIY dough circuits.

Science-STEAM Camp (With Mr. Bond and The Science Guys)
July 24-28 from 1:00 noon - 4:00 p.m.

STEAM Science, technology, engineering, arts and math all together in each activity we do! Making learning challenging and Fun! Kids will build mini cars, make chemical reactions, and play brain games! Each day they will create and observe how all of the STEAM components work together.
 
Summer Science Experience
July 10 - July 21 (Monday - Friday) from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

ABC’s of Science Fun: MBA Summer Science Experience is a summer science camp for rising 5th through 8th graders. First on campus and now in its’ 15th year, the two week camp is hands-on science for fun and a purpose. Oft copied, never equaled, the camp has generated numerous feeder camps on campus in the past decade and was STEM before it became a buzzword! We ARE model building, hands on, problem-solving and team building science basics which produce and foster a life-long love of science, exposing the architects of the future to systems that work. We combine all of this with cutting-edge fun!
NEW this year are Earth’s Magnetosphere investigation and Pond Scum, to accompany Straw Rocket golf, Water and Solid Fuel Rockets, Alternative Energy Systems, Filtration and Solar Stills, culminating with our RoboticArm builds and, camper favorite, CO2 Car Design, Build and Race. We’ll also be outside with the school garden (hot peppers?), insect studies and some geocaching to learn coordinates systems. Open to boys and girls, the camp meets from 8 am to noon, daily. Selected MBA science student aides ensure an instructor to camper ratio of 1 to 6. Snacks are provided. Camp limited to 18 students.

Scream Machines - Building Roller Coasters
July 17-21 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $215
Open to boys and girls in rising grades 4-7
Limit 20 Campers

Step right up, folks, to a camp full of the exciting world of those death-defying marvels - "Scream Machines" (AKA roller coasters)! Campers will work in pairs to create and build their very own paper (yes, paper) scale-model version of a working coaster. Experience VR – Virtual Reality – coaster rides. Explore the ups and downs of coaster design and engineering – what makes them go…and stop. Campers will decorate their attractions and work to “market” them to the public when we display our mechanical marvels in a "Come Ride the Rides" competition at the end of the week where all the rides will be "ridden," timed, scored and judged. Each camper receives a completed roller coaster or a kit to build at home!

Wilderness & Adventure Camp
June 5-9 - Overnight Camp for 4 nights
Cost: $600
Open to boys in rising grades 5-6
Limit 15 Campers

The Wilderness & Adventure Camp will take place on MBA's Long Mountain Campus in McMinnville, TN. This will be a five day, four night overnight camp. Campers will learn basic outdoor skills and participate in activities including: kayaking/whitewater, high and low ropes courses, orienteering, rope skills, first aid, and more. The campus also features places to fish, fields, and a disc golf course. The camp will help boys grow in confidence and leadership.
