8th Grade Football Races by East Hickman 41-0
The MBA 8th Grade Team travelled to East Hickman Middle School and secured a hard-fought 41-0 victory. The Big Red offense ran the ball at will, with rushing touchdowns coming from backs Charlie Buffkin, Josiah Francis, and Brenden Harris. The defense stifled the Eagles, as a solid push upfront, sound tackling by the linebacking core, and tight coverage from the secondary held EHMS scoreless. A dramatic goal line stand in the 2nd quarter was the highlight of the defensive effort. On special teams, Cole Crider led the way by blocking a punt and forcing a fumble on a kickoff, both in the first half. The entire team truly pitched in for this victory, with everyone contributing both on and off the field. The Microbes next host Knox Fulton, a traditional power, on Saturday.
