Ford Brewer (’18) Named Manning Scholar
Ford Brewer (’18) was one of two Middle Tennessee students selected to receive the Peyton Manning Scholarship at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Brewer joined an exclusive club of 37 students who have received the award since its inception 1998.

"My hope is this scholarship will help them achieve, learn, grow and positively impact others and when their studies on campus are complete, that they too leave here with the passion for the University that I have," Manning said.
The Manning Scholarship began in 1998 when Manning decided to form scholarship money out of what came along with his on-field awards. It used to be a recognition of one student each year but has now grown to four recipients in 2018.

Brewer is also one of 15 recipients of the prestigious Haslam Scholarship, joining Hamilton Garber (’17) who received the same award last year.
