MBA JV opens with big win over Ravenwood

The JV basketball team opened their 2018-19 season with a bang beating Ravenwood by a large margin 71-41. After the first quarter jitters ended with a 16 - 9 score, the big red poured in baskets by the bundles to finish the first half 38 to 20. By using smothering defense, timely passing, and several made three pointers by multiple players, the JV team showed true teamwork in taking control of the basketball game leading to victory. Arthur Bennett led all scorers with 18, followed by Marcel Reed with 15 points. Mark Pyburn chipped in with 12 to close out the double digit scoring. The Big Red JV will play Dickson County on Tuesday night next week.
