MBA Finishes 2nd in A Division of Rotary Tournament

MBA competed in the A Division of the 63rd Annual Rotary Club Tournament in Chattanooga on Friday and Saturday. All singles players and all doubles teams earned at least a point for the Big Red with a main draw victory or by winning the back draw, but Baylor Sai, Kinton Lewis, and the combination of Hugh Graham and Kinton Lewis had especially strong performances and won the 1-singles, 5-singles, and 2-doubles main draws respectively. MBA finished the tournament in second place in the A Division behind McCallie and ahead of Baylor, Mountain Brook, MUS, St. George's, St. X, and Webb School of Knoxville. MBA has a big week ahead with two region matches, one against Lipscomb Academy on Monday and a rematch of the state championship the last two years as MBA hosts Baylor on Friday.
