MBA Mock Trial Earns Massive Tournament Win

The MBA Mock Trial team of seniors Matthew Kaplan, Aden Barton, Zach Brown and Matt Hawkins, and juniors Joseph Bellardo, Ashwin Jain, Tuneer Ghosh, C.H. Henry, and Cooper Rzasnicki recently traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to participate in the annual Empire Mock Trial competition. The competition featured over thirty teams from as near as Harpeth Hall and as far as the Seoul International School from South Korea. After four rounds of competition against schools from across the country, the Big Red earned a perfect 8-0 ballot record and were the top overall team. MBA argued its case in the final round before the Honorable Christopher J. McFadden of the Georgia Court of Appeals and defeated Covenant Classical School (Tx).

The team has a short break before it starts preparing later this year for the Davidson County High School Mock Trial competition to be held in February 2020. MBA Mock Trial has a long history of performing at the highest level under the direction of alumnus and local attorney, Wade Cowan '74. The team recently welcomed local attorney Tracy Hancock as an additional coach.
