MBA Mock Trial Wins District Championship

Three MBA teams competed in the Davidson County High School Mock Trial competition February 21-22. MBA-Red, led by MVP Matthew Kaplan, went 4-0 en route to a first place finish. MBA-White, a novice team in their first competition, led by MVP Chanden Climaco, finished in 4th place with a 3-1 record. MBA-Silver, led by MVP Stanford Thombs, finished in 6th place with a 2-2 record. Senior Matthew Kaplan and junior Joseph Bellardo were awarded best overall attorney and witness for the defense, respectively. MBA-Red is undefeated in two competitions this season and will compete in the Tennessee High School Mock Trial Competition March 20-21.
 
Competing for MBA-Red were seniors Aden Barton, Zach Brown, Matt Hawkins, and Matthew Kaplan; and juniors Joseph Bellardo, Tuneer Ghosh, C.H. Henry, and Ashwin Jain.
 
Competing for MBA-Silver were seniors Spencer Grohovsky, Stewart Moore, and Pete Rowlett; and juniors Sam Bartholomew, James Kinard, Sam Meacham, Luke Morad, William Rogers, Cooper Rzasnicki, Stanford Thombs, and Scott Wallace.
 
Competing for MBA-White were junior Jason Zhu; sophomores Jack Coode, Devan Durrett, Gene Herrmann, Reid Ragsdale, Reid Smith, Travis Swafford, and Jon Tarquinio; and freshmen Chanden Climaco and Maithreya Gowda.
