MBA Debate Team Off To Great Start
The MBA debate team started the year strong with two tournament victories and a second-place finish in its first four tournaments. The team of Sam Meacham (20') and Jack Pacconi (21') finished second place in the Greenhill Round Robin versus the top 12 teams from across the country. Sam was the Round Robin's top overall speaker as well.
At the University of Kentucky Season Opener, the team of Ethan Bittles (24') and Sanjith Geevarghese (24') won first place in the junior varsity division. At the Georgia Forensics opening scrimmage, the team of Henry Keefer (25') and Kenny Royer (25') won first place in the Rookie division. The team had 24 new debaters participate in that scrimmage, marking the largest incoming class of debaters MBA has seen in a long time. Kevin Die (25') and Reid Groomes (23') took second place there and were the team's top speakers. MBA continues its season at the Marist tournament this weekend.
