MBA Sets Records at Prestigious Debate Tournament

MBA Debate stormed through the competition this past weekend at the Greenhill Fall Classic, the first "major" national tournament of the season. MBA was the only school allowed to field four two-person teams in the 112 team field due to the strong pre-season rankings of our teams. Our students more than justified their presence. All four teams qualified for the elimination rounds with three MBA teams reaching in the "Elite 8", a feat no other school has accomplished in the history of the tournament. Two MBA teams appeared in the semifinals, and one MBA team debated in the finals.

Three MBA debaters were honored with individual speaker awards. Congratulations to teams Aden Barton ('20) & Julian Habermann ('19), John Cooper ('17) & Ben Jablonski ('18), Atticus Glen ('19) & Liam Jameson ('17), and tournament finalists Andrew Kaplan ('17) and Ben Rosenthal ('17) for an impressive start to the debate season.
