Athletics Facilities

MBA is fortunate to have some of the premier athletic and wellness facilities in the entire state of Tennessee, if not the entire southeast US. Students are required to participate in athletics in each season of the school year, throughout their time on The Hill - in keeping with the ideal of "Gentleman, Scholar, Athlete."

Facility Rental
Rental requests for meeting and athletic spaces in our Burkholder Wellness Center are reviewed on a case by case. To inquire about renting a space please complete this "Facility Request Form". A member of our Athletic staff will respond to each request.

We would like to inform you of recent action passed by the TSSAA Legislative Council. This new legislation requires a minimum disciplinary penalty to be levied on schools when a fan is ejected from any contest. This decision comes after several inquiries from various member school administrators who felt the need for a standardized penalty for such occurrences. The new rule stipulates that the penalty for fan ejections will be equivalent to the minimum penalty for a fan invading the playing field. Article III, Section 9 of the TSSAA Bylaws states the following: For fans ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct during a contest, the school will be fined a minimum of $250.00. In addition, other non-monetary disciplinary action may occur, including but not limited to probation and/or restrictive probation for the entire athletic program.
