MBA Wins National Debate Championship

Freshmen Jack Capizzi and Ben Jablonski won the National Championship in first year policy debate this weekend in Atlanta. In a field comprised of the best first year debate teams from across the country, Capizzi and Ben Jablonski compiled an undefeated record, were the tournament's top seed, and won a hard fought 5-2 victory over the University of Chicago Lab School in the final round. Jablonski was also named the Top Speaker of the first year division. Capizzi was the 10th place individual speaker. 

 

In the 2nd year division, sophomores Liam Jameson and Ben Rosenthal finished in 3rd place, losing a razor close 2-1 decision in the semifinals against Wayzata High School (MN). Rosenthal was named the Top Speaker of the second year division while Jameson was the 9th place individual speaker.
