A group of MBA’s top visual artists recently had their work selected for display in the 11th Biennial Young Tennessee Artists Exhibition at the Frist later this year. After a selection committee reviewed more than 570 pieces submitted from across the state, just 33 were chosen, with seven of those coming from MBA.
MBA artists whose work was selected include J.D. Abernathy (’26), Palmer Elzen (’26), Avery Jacobson (’26), Max Loudenslager (’26), Jack Ross (’27), Owen Rouse (’26), and Spencer Simmons (’26).
The exhibition will be on display from August 28, 2026, through March 28, 2027, in the Conte Community Gallery on the main floor of the Frist Museum, giving our community—and all who visit Nashville’s premier art museum—plenty of opportunity to admire the beautiful work created by these young men. Congratulations to each of them and their teacher, Kati Swieca-Brockman!
