Alumni-Student Summer Internship

MBA’s Alumni-Student Internship offers rising juniors and seniors a one-week, hands-on shadow experience with MBA alumni across various industries. Students apply with a statement of purpose and a teacher recommendation; alumni hosts—primarily in Greater Nashville—open their workplaces to provide real-world exposure, mentorship, and inspiration.

The program grew directly from student interest in deeper, real-world learning and continues to expand its impact: this summer, 40 students were matched with 32 alumni for immersive experiences ranging from observing surgeries and exploring robotic platforms to sitting in on client pitches, design reviews, and publishing meetings. Boys return to campus with clearer direction, stronger professional habits, and a deeper understanding of their interests—supported by a network that models leadership, service, and purpose.

Career Day

MBA’s Career Day connects students with alumni and industry professionals for a full day of exploration and mentorship. The program features a morning panel to frame big ideas, a concise keynote to inspire next steps, and small-group roundtables where students rotate through career fields such as business, finance, law, architecture, real estate, healthcare, medicine, media, engineering, and music/entertainment/sports. Lunch and a closing reception provide additional time for conversation and networking, helping students translate curiosity into actionable next steps.
