Led by Coach Clete McLeod and Assistant Coach John Anderson, MBA’s Performance, Strength and Conditioning program takes a comprehensive approach to developing student-athletes. Emphasizing quality movement, athletic expression, and proper recovery and fueling, the program is designed to build athletes who are strong, fast, mobile, and resilient—both physically and mentally. Training incorporates fundamental strength work, Olympic lifts and plyometrics for power and speed, and advanced movement skills such as acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction. Each component is tailored to help students maximize performance in their sport while fostering discipline, toughness, and a lifelong commitment to fitness. All training takes place in the James A. Webb III Fitness Center, a state-of-the-art facility within the H. Frank Burkholder Wellness Center. With 26 Power Lift training stations, nearly 1,500 pounds of weight per station, a full range of dumbbells, selectorized machines, and cutting-edge training accessories, the center provides an elite environment for safe, effective, and efficient performance enhancement. |
