Alumni Spotlights

Jamie Pfeffer ‘96 | Principal, Pfeffer Torode Architecture

Jamie leads a Nashville-based boutique practice known for context-driven residential and intimate commercial projects. As Managing Principal, he balances firm operations with design review and client presentations, always centering the belief that architecture is a service profession—listening closely, translating vision into form, and stewarding projects from the “why” to the “how.”

“MBA’s well-rounded education—especially visual history and the arts—sharpened my creativity, clarity of thought, and the scholar-athlete mindset I carry into practice. The school’s network opened doors and underscored the value of early career exposure; I always encourage students to shadow broadly to confirm interests—or discover new ones.”

Alumni summer internship

Dr. Tee Griscom ’10 | General & Bariatric Surgeon

Dr. Tee Griscom practices at the intersection of precision and compassion. A fellowship-trained minimally invasive and GI surgeon, he splits his time between clinic and OR weeks, operating at multiple hospitals and an outpatient surgery center while also taking emergency calls. His clinical focus includes weight-loss (bariatric) procedures and hernia repairs—work he finds especially rewarding for its measurable impact on patients’ health and quality of life.

“MBA instilled the discipline and respect that let me lead with clarity—and practice surgery as both a craft and a calling.”

John Ozier ’98 | Behind the Music

A leader in global music publishing and acquisitions, John operates at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. He cultivates songwriter rosters, oversees rights and catalogs, and develops partnerships that move music across borders and platforms. His work demonstrates how creative vision and rigorous deal-making can coexist—protecting artists’ voices while growing opportunity.

“MBA taught me to be well-rounded—the kind of training that lets you bridge creativity and business. In music publishing, relationships, judgment, and clear writing matter as much as legal and financial chops. Leading a team of songwriters and guiding major catalog deals, I lean on habits I formed on The Hill every day.”
