A World of Opportunity. A Lifetime of Relationships.
Montgomery Bell Academy’s Warner Exchange Programs open the world to our students. This transformative opportunity allows rising seniors to immerse themselves in international academic communities, living and learning alongside peers at some of the most respected schools across the globe. Rooted in a tradition of character, curiosity, and connection, these exchanges reflect MBA’s commitment to developing global citizens who lead with empathy, integrity, and intellectual depth.
Global Partners, Life-Changing Experiences
Launched in 1997 with exchanges to Eton College and Winchester College in England, the Warner Exchange Program has grown into a global network that now includes partner schools in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Students are selected to spend four weeks fully immersed in the life of these schools—not as visitors, but as full participants in academics, athletics, and extracurricular life. Whether staying in dormitories or with host families, they experience firsthand what it means to live and learn in another culture. They return with more than just memories: they gain perspective, independence, and lifelong friendships.

Guidelines for Visiting Students
Montgomery Bell Academy warmly welcomes our visiting students. These guidelines will help you settle in and make the most of your experience.
| Coursework and Academics |
|---|
|
At MBA, students follow a fixed daily schedule with fewer courses than many international schools. You will receive a course schedule before or upon arrival, which can be adjusted if necessary. Exchange students are expected to complete daily classwork and homework, though requirements for tests and papers vary by teacher. Differences in math and science courses may be the most noticeable, and full course descriptions are available on our website under “Academics.” You will also be assigned study halls but will have “Privilege List” status, allowing you to use that time for the library, College Counseling, meeting teachers, or connecting with classmates. |
| Expectations and Conduct |
|
Exchange students are held to the same standards as MBA students. U.S. laws regarding alcohol and drugs are strictly enforced, and violations are taken seriously. You will represent both your home institution and MBA at all times, on and off campus. |
| Host Families |
|
Your host family will support and welcome you, but remember that your host brother will have his own schoolwork and responsibilities. Respecting their routine helps make the experience positive for everyone. |
| A Shared Experience |
|
Your time here is both an academic and cultural exchange. You’ll gain insight into American student life, while also serving as an ambassador for your school and country. We look forward to learning from you as much as you will learn from us. |
