Montgomery Bell Academy’s choir program continues to demonstrate excellence across all divisions.
On February 20, 100 boys from the Junior School through the High School traveled to North Nashville to compete in the Regional Choral Festival, representing MBA with professionalism, focus, and pride. Our ensembles earned two Excellent performance trophies, while the High School Choir delivered an outstanding performance, earning a Superior rating and securing advancement to the state level.
We are especially proud to share that all MBA choirs earned Superior ratings in sight-reading, successfully performing both rhythmic and multi-part exercises perfectly on sight. This distinction reflects tremendous growth, preparation, and musical maturity among our students and speaks to the strength of the program across grade levels.
In addition, members of the Head of School Singers were invited to perform as part of the First Presbyterian Church Concert Series, where they represented MBA beautifully. Singing in a remarkable acoustic space, the boys performed with unity, discipline, and artistry — a testament to their dedication and to the culture of excellence within the program.
Congratulations to our student musicians and directors on these exceptional accomplishments.
