Morning Bus Transportation

General Information:
Montgomery Bell Academy will be providing morning bus transportation with two routes as a service and convenience for MBA, St. Cecilia/Overbrook, Akiva and Harpeth Hall families who live in northern, southern, and eastern Davidson County, and Williamson County. The buses will run each morning that MBA has school, including exam weeks at the end of each semester. In the event of inclement weather that would prevent safe bus transportation, families will be notified by phone alert system and on the MBA website. On Fridays and times that MBA has a scheduled 10:00 AM start time, the buses will continue to run at the regular times shown below:

  • Goodlettsville/East Nashville

    Goodlettsville/East Nashville and Shuttle to Akiva:

    1. Depart Rivergate Mall at Conference Drive at 6:10.
    2. Depart Home Depot on Gallatin Rd at 6:30.
    3. Depart Save-a-Lot next to Margaret Maddox Family YMCA at 6:40.
    4. Drop-off at SCA at 7:10.
    5. Drop-off at MBA at 7:15. Akiva students remain on bus for shuttle service.
    6. Drop-off at Harpeth Hall at 7:30
    7. Drop-off at Akiva at 7:45.
  • LaVergne/Antioch/Brentwood Route

    LaVergne/Antioch/Brentwood Route:

    1. Arrive and depart Shell Gas Station at OHB exit #62 at 6:05.
    2. Depart Home Depot on Bell Rd. at 6:20.
    3. Depart Publix at Nippers Corner at 6:30.
    4. Depart Target at OHB and I-65 at 6:40.
    5. Depart Brentwood Library at 6:50.
    6. Drop-off at St. Cecilia at 7:15.
    7. Drop-off at MBA at 7:20. Akiva students transfer to shuttle to H.H. and Akiva
    8. Drop-off at Harpeth Hall at 7:30.
    9. Drop-off at Akiva at 7:40.

Payment Options

  • Semester Payment

    Semester Payment: $450.00 ($600 for Akiva) per semester. This lowest cost option will be billed on a semester basis soon after the opening of school and in mid-January.
  • Individual Rides

    Individual Rides: Provided that there is space on the bus, individuals may ride for a cost of $10.00 per day. The rider will fill in a ride sheet when they board the bus, and the family will be billed at the end of each month. To ascertain the availability of this option, please contact Greg Ferrell at 615-369-5311.

  • Important Bus Service Dates

    Important Bus Service Dates for 2019/20
    Bus Service will begin on Monday, August 19.
    No classes for MBA and no bus service on the following days during the first semester:
                September 2 for Labor Day
                October 17 and 18 for Fall Break
                November 27, 28, and 29 for Thanksgiving Break
    The last day of exams and bus service for the first semester is Wednesday, December 18.
    Bus service for the second semester will begin on Monday, January 6.
    No classes for MBA and no bus service on the following days during the second semester:
                   January 20 for MLK Holiday
                   February 14 and 17 for Winter Break
                   Friday, March 12 through March 22 for Spring Break. Service resumes Monday, March 23.
                   Friday, April 10 Spring Holiday
    The last day of exams and bus service for the second semester is Friday, May 22.
