Brandy Sherwood founded the MBA Crew team in the Fall of 2009. She is a native of Manhattan, KS. In 1996 she joined the Kansas State Rowing Association High School team and competed as coxswain for the fall and spring seasons. In the summers Brandy rowed and competed in sculling boats. In 1999 she was recruited to join the Divison I, NCAA sanctioned, Women’s Rowing team at Kansas State University where she held both the first novice and first varsity coxswain seats for the majority of her time on the team. Brandy has competed in some of the highest regarded regattas in the rowing world including; the Head of the Charles in Boston, MA and the Women’s Henley in Henley, England. During her fifth year of school at Kansas State she interned coached for the Women’s team. From there Brandy went on as the Head Coach of the Vanderbilt Rowing Club for 3.5 years. She attended the Navy Rowing Camp at the USNA in Annapolis, Maryland and Southeast Juniors Development Camp, host by the Baylor School in Chattanooga, TN as a guest coach this past summer. In addition to her position as Head Crew Coach she is also the MBA Athletic Department Manager.
