The goal of the camp is to introduce the sport of rowing to students who have yet to experience it. Or, for those students who have rowed before, the aim is to build upon that experience and hone their rowing skills. Weather permitting, the bulk of the camp will be spent "on the water" versus on indoor rowing machines. The camp will have drop off and pick up at MBA everyday and we will bus the campers to and from the Commodore Yacht Club.
Crew is one of the most unique activities in which a student can participate. The experience of making a rowing shell glide through the water is unrivaled in sports. Unlike most other sports, being a "gifted" athlete is not a requirement to achieve success in rowing. One must simply possess determination and a desire to improve.
The camp is being conducted by MBA's varsity rowing coaches. Your child is welcome to sign up for either week of camp, or both.
