This morning the 8th Grade Football Team traveled to Father Ryan to take on Central Catholic, the combined parochial team. In what was technically a 2 hour scrimmage, the boys played incredibly hard, and they showed a lot of progress after only two quick weeks of practice. On offense, the Microbes scored the equivalent of 22 points (3 TDs and two 2 point conversions). The best part, though, was a shutout on defense. The Big Red brought the wood, and played terrific team defense for such an early point in the season. These 8th graders have their coaches fired up, and the Big Red beating the Irish at any level makes any alum smile.
