Saturday Scholars

    • Saturday Scholars @mbaserviceclub

Members of the MBA Service Club have for decades offered academic support to students throughout Nashville.  Whether tutoring and mentoring in after school programs, helping our immigrant neighbors with their English or working to boost the math, reading and spelling skills of East Nashville kids on Saturdays, they have shared their knowledge with and learned from folks throughout our greater community.

With the arrival of COVID, the Service Club expanded on this tradition with a virtual program for students throughout Middle Tennessee: Saturday Scholars.  Please take a minute to read about our various offerings.  We hope you will join us as we continue to add new opportunities, both online and at our Harding Road campus.

We are proud to offer two options, which are described in detail below: Academic Support and ESL Tutoring.  Soon we plan to add Aequora: Literacy Using Latin.

How Does Saturday Scholars Work?

Students, adult and school-age, who join Saturday Scholars are paired with students from MBA who are eager to help.  Tutoring occurs each Saturday while school is in session.  All sessions are offered remotely, but participants will be invited to join us on campus for special programming.

To get started, follow these steps:

1) Read the descriptions of each program below.
2) Choose which program, Academic Support or ESL Tutoring, meets your needs.
3) Register using the link below
4) Wait to hear from us at the email or phone number provided in the registration form!

This is a free service to our community.  There is no charge.

How Do I Sign-Up for Saturday Scholars?

Please fill out a separate form for each adult/child needing tutoring.
