Tuition and Fees for 2021-2022

  • Tuition (For the 2021-2022 school year)

    • Tuition for the 2021-22 school year is $30,680.
  • Required Fees

    • Enrollment deposit*: $1,000
    • Registration Fee: $500 (covers Lab, Yearbook, Tests, and Course Fees)
    • Meal Plan: $1,100/year
    *For incoming students, a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $1,000 is due with the enrollment contract by March 10, 2022. For current students, a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $1,000 is due with the re-enrollment contract by February 4, 2022. This deposit is a portion of the total tuition for the upcoming school year.
  • Other Fees

    • Textbooks: approximately $500
    • 7th Grade Fall Outdoors Trip: $300
    • 8th Grade Spring Atlanta Trip: $300
    • Parking Permit: $50 (optional)
  • Payment Plans

    • Single Payment Plan
    • Semi-Annual Payment Plan (with additional finance charges)
    • Monthly (with additional finance charges)

Financial Aid

Montgomery Bell Academy offers need-based financial aid. The school follows the financial aid guidelines established by School and Student Services (SSS) to determine need. Currently 22% of the student body receives financial aid. 

While there is an expectation that all families will make some tuition contribution, no family should assume that an MBA education is out of reach solely for financial reasons. We strongly encourage you to complete the financial aid application process to determine your need. Admission decisions are made separately of a family's financial aid application.

  • Financial Aid Application Process

    1. Families must submit a Parent Financial Statement (PFS) directly to the School and Student Services (SSS) by February 15, 2022.
    2. Families must submit the following supporting documents to SSS by February 15, 2022: 2020 W-2s, completed and signed copy of 2020 1040 with all filed schedules and attachments, and 2021 W-2s.
    3. Families must submit the following supporting documents to SSS by April 15, 2022: completed and signed copy of 2021 1040 with all filed schedules and attachments. Awards are not finalized until MBA has reviewed these documents and approved the financial aid based on a family’s demonstrated need.
  • Financial Aid Timeline

    1. Submit Parent Financial Statement and required documentation to SSS by February 15, 2022. Consideration and availability of funds cannot be guaranteed for any family whose documents are received after February 15, 2022.
    2. An estimate of financial aid will be given to all accepted new students between March 5 & March 10, 2022.
    3. Awards become final in April of 2022.
