MBA defended its Overbrook Classic title this year by beating CPA 46-44 in the championship. MBA got off to a great start with solid team defense that held CPA to 7 points in the first quarter. On offense, the Big Red got big buckets in the first quarter from Logan Taylor and Austin Rolfe and two huge threes from Joseph McKinney, the second of which was taken near half-court as the first quarter buzzer sounded in order to put the Big Red up 16-7. CPA made a run in the second and third quarter behind the play of its star center but Braxton Blackwell stepped up the third quarter with two huge blocks in the paint and aggressive play that led to the CPA star's fourth foul. CPA made one final push in the fourth quarter but clutch shooting from Logan Taylor was enough for MBA to hold on for the win. Logan Taylor, Joseph McKinney, and Braxton Blackwell all ended the game with 11 points. Rahn Bailey and Derrick Tucker were awarded all-tournament honors and Braxton Blackwell was named tournament MVP. MBA has a short break before its last game of 2010 against BGA on December 17th.
