Montgomery Bell Academy began its 154th year in unique fashion yesterday. Due to the ongoing pandemic, MBA opened its doors to half of the student body on Monday, with the other half attending on Tuesday. MBA is beginning the year on a hybrid schedule to allow for social distancing in classes and outdoors.
Headmaster Brad Gioia opened the year with a morning assembly welcoming the student body back to school. Students noticed the tents set up on campus where some classes and lunch periods will be held. Additional signage and hand sanitizing stations were added all over campus too. Lunch time will look different this year as the dining staff is preparing pre-packaged lunches each day.
Yesterday also marked the first time that students attended classed on campus since mid-March.
