Big Red Victorious Over Brentwood M.S.
It a genuine team effort where everyone played, MBA's Silver Platoon defeated Brentwood M.S. 16 - 6 on Tuesday (9/4). The Big Red started strong on the opening play with a 40-yard tailback pass from Anthony Birdsong to Will Campbell. Although MBA could not get in the endzone, the Big Red scored on its next possession with an Anthony Birdsong touchdown run and a Dylan Hall pass to Will Campbell for the 2-point conversion. Then, late in the first half, MBA scored again off of a Will Campbell touchdown run and a Dylan Hall to Will Campbell 2-point conversion.
During the second half, MBA's tenacious defense was able to keep BMS out of the endzone until late in the game. The boys tackled well and play smart football; as exemplified by Colin Caldwell's stripping the football from a BMS ball carrier.
The coaches are very proud of the solid performance by the entire team. PLease come support the 7th Grade Football Team against Holy Rosary on Wednesday (9/5).
