MBA Fall to McCallie but score Ten Birdies for CFF

Defeat on Thursday by just six strokes at Belle Meade Country Club to a strong McCallie team was no shame, considering we did not play our best golf of the season.  Shooting 315 to McCallie's 306, The Big Red struggled to put the ball in the hole.  Some 300yd+ drives from Daniel Leader, fantastic bunker play from John Burch and Tyler LeRoy, and terrific iron shots from Rob Broadhurst were great to watch.   The team feels that it is only a matter of time before we start firing on all cylinders.  Despite the loss, the team scored ten birdies which is good news for our efforts to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To date MBA has a 1-3 record in dual match play and 1-1 record in tournament play.  Next up is Marshall County at Henry Horton Golf Course on Monday, September 10th at 1.00pm.
