MBA advances to Final Four

The Big Red basketball team traveled to MUS Saturday night and defeated the Owls 73-44 to advance to the state semi-finals next Friday at Lipscomb University.  MBA put together one of its most complete performances of the year in route to the victory.  After an MUS 3 point play opened the game, it was all MBA after that.  The Big Red led 12-7 at the end of one and 36-21 at the half.  A strong 3rd quarter put the game out of reach.  Holden Mobley led the way in scoring with 24 and Austin Blackwell chipped in 14.  Eleven scored in all as every member of the team contributed to the victory.  MBA will take on Ensworth Friday afternoon at Lipscomb University for the right to play for the State Championship on Saturday.  Game time is 12:30.
