MBA Comes from Behind to Beat Smithson Craighead

MBA's 8th Grade Basketball Team got off to a tough start on Friday against Smithson Craighead and was only able to put up 9 points in the first half to Smithson Craighead's 18.  The team rallied in the second half, however, behind the shooting of Joseph McKinney and the offensive and defensive play of Braxton Blackwell.  McKinney had 12 points, all in the second half, and Blackwell was good for 14 in the contest.  More impressive was the team defense of MBA in the second half that did not allow a field goal in the last quarter and a half of play.  MBA ended the game with a 36-30 victory.  MBA has two more games next week against FRA and BGA before the first round of the HVAC tournament on Friday.
