Cougars pounce on the Big Red.

Giving it all they had, the Big Red was still no match for Centennial's speed, crisp passing attack, and vicious shot brigade and lost by the score of 5-2.  MBA’s defense and goalie Jack Coyle had a solid game, but could not hold up as the Cougars pelted MBA with 36 shots. Untimely, frustration penalties by MBA allowed Centennial to score twice on the power play.  MBA made a valiant comeback effort in the third period as Captain Scott Dalton scored two goals, but MBA had difficulty all night hitting the net, and penetrating the Cougar’s defensive zone on a consistent basis.  MBA did have a respectable 20 shots even if most were from long range. The Big Red won the third period 2-1, and will use this as momentum for the upcoming match-up with powerful division foe Father Ryan on Friday, November 4 where neighborhood bragging rights will be on the line.
