Big Red wins at Ryan

The Big Red basketball team picked up an important road win over Father Ryan Tuesday evening by a final of 54-45.  After a slow start that saw MBA trail 7-0 in the opening minutes, strong defense and an awakened offense helped the Big Red take a 20-10 halftime lead.  After a Ryan run closed the gap to 20-16 to open the 3rd quarter, Joe McKinney made one of his six threes to stretch the lead to 7.  MBA would go one to lead by 12 at the end of the 3rd quarter.  Though the last few minutes were sloppy, MBA held on for the victory.  Joe McKinney led in scoring with 21, including six made 3's.
