MBA Drops Game to Lausanne

The Big Red basketball team fell to a big, athletic, and talented Lausanne team 61-50 Friday evening in Currey Gym. After falling behind early and trailing by as many as 9, a good second quarter saw the Big Red draw to within 1, at 32-31 at the half. The game was even in the 3rd with Lausanne taking a 43-40 lead entering the final quarter. After trading several baskets to start the quarter, the Big Red were unable to keep pace down the stretch. Greg Quesinberry led in scoring with 19, followed by Joe McKinney and Jermaine Francis with 9 each. Next up is a tough road game at undefeated McCallie to open region play on Monday.
