MBA to Hold a College Sports and Recruiting Information Session

From A.D. Mark Tipps:

Parents  -- On Wednesday night, January 13th at 7 PM in the Dead Poet's Society Room in the Lowery Building,  MBA will have an informational session about participating in college sports and the college recruiting process.
I would strongly encourage attendance by any 9th, 10th, or 11th grade parents who think their son may have even the slightest interest in playing college sports at ANY level. Your boys are also certainly welcome. While Division 1 sports and the recruiting process in Div. 1 will be discussed, the primary focus of this seminar is to share with you the opportunities that are available to your sons at the small college level, and in particular, the way in which playing sports in college can be used to leverage admission into some excellent schools.

Coach Todd Moran and I will host this event, and we will have a panel of past and current parents to share their experiences with you and to answer questions. Our main speaker will be Coach Jim Schwartz, an MBA parent who played division 3 football at Georgetown University, and later became defensive coordinator for the Titans and then head coach for the Detroit Lions.

If you have questions please feel free to contact me directly at 369-5351 or by email at mark.tipps@montgomerybell.edu.  We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday night at 7PM. Thanks.
