Montgomery Bell Academy invites you to join us for a free performance by Decoda, an Affiliate Ensemble of Carnegie Hall, on Tuesday, February 23 at 7 p.m. in MBA’s Dead Poets Society Room located in the Lowry Building. The program will feature Decoda musicians Hamilton Berry (cello, MBA Class of 2003), Paul Murphy (trumpet), Carl Oswald (oboe), and Evan Premo (double bass).
Since its inception in 2011, Decoda has brought chamber music to new audiences in schools, hospitals, and prisons, as well as to prominent concert halls throughout the United States and across the globe. Recent travels have taken them to Abu Dhabi, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Germany, Hong Kong, and Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Denmark. The artists of Decoda first collaborated with one another in the renowned Ensemble ACJW, a fellowship program created by Carnegie Hall, The Julliard School, and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.
