Ty Chandler Wins Back to Back Mr. Football Awards
MBA senior running back Ty Chandler was named the 2016 Tennessee's Division II-AA Mr. Football Winner for Backs at a banquet hosted by the Tennessee Titans today. Chandler won the award for the second consecutive season, and third straight year for an MBA player. Cole Euverard won in 2014.
Chandler had another outstanding season rushing for over 1,700 yards during the regular season. He also tallied 31 rushing touchdowns and had nine touchdown runs of over 60 yards this year.
The Big Red football team takes on the Brentwood Academy Eagles this Thursday for the State Championship at 7:00 p.m. in Cookeville, TN.
