MBA Wins Its First Shotgun State Championship

MBA put together two great final rounds to win the Tennessee Junior Olympic / TNSCTP International Style State Championship on Saturday, April 22, in Columbia, TN.  The final top team scores were:

• 289 - MBA
• 278 - Cedar City
• 277 - Houston
• 268 - Columbia Academy
• 263 - Spring Hill
• 257 - Centennial

   
In claiming its first state championship in Shotgun, Alex Dean ('23) shot a team record 105/125 and finished with the second highest individual score in the competition; he also won top shooter in his J1 classification.  The top 5 MBA shooters in the competition were:

• Alex Dean ('23) - 19-18-22-23-23=105
• Vaughan Chamblin ('25) - 19-15-20-21-21=96
• Carter Welch ('23) - 15-21-17-18-17=87
• Julius Fox ('23) - 17-19-20-16-15=87
• William Stewart ('23) - 14-15-16-17-18=80
