MBA Wins Close Match Against Knox Webb

After suffering two 5-4 losses at the DecoTurf Invitational, MBA got to experience being on the winning side of a one point match as they defeated Knox Webb 4-3 at MBA on Saturday morning. MBA took the singles point with an 8-3 victory at 1 doubles from George Harwell and Matthew Bulow and an 8-3 victory at 3 doubles from Hugh Graham and Frist Allen. George Harwell won at 1 singles 6-0, 6-1, Matthew Bulow won at 3 singles 6-0, 6-4 and Hugh Graham won at 5 singles 6-1, 6-3. John Morphett, Cole Thornton and Frist Allen all went to a tiebreaker at some point in their matches but unfortunately they came up just short of victory. MBA will get one day of practice Monday before the first league match of the year at Brentwood Academy on Tuesday.
