MBA Defeats Ensworth 4-0 in D2-AA Quarterfinals

MBA defeated Ensworth High School 4-0 on Tuesday afternoon in the TSSAA Division 2-AA quarterfinals to advance to next week's Spring Fling in Murfreesboro, TN. MBA clinched the doubles point with 8-1 victories at 1 doubles (George Harwell and Baylor Sai) and 2 doubles (Matthew Bulow and John Morphett). Hugh Graham and Frist Allen were leading 7-1 but did not finish their match after the doubles point was clinched. MBA won the match with three quick singles victories by Matthew Bulow at 2 singles (6-0, 6-1), Baylor Sai at 3 singles (6-0, 6-1) and John Morphett at 4 singles (6-1, 6-0). The other singles matches were not finished after the match was clinched as per TSSAA rules. The team will play the winner of MUS-BA on Tuesday at Old Fort Park in Murfreesboro, TN at 11 AM.
