The MBA tennis team's season came to and end on Tuesday with a 4-2 loss to MUS. After dropping the doubles point and two quick singles matches, MBA found itself in a 3-0 hole with the only way to win being to win all four remaining singles matches. For a minute, it looked like it might happen. John Morphett and Baylor Sai both won to make the score 3-2 and Hugh Graham and George Harwell split sets to go into deciding thirds. Sadly, the heat and long day took its toll on George as he lost the third and final set. Hugh's match was still in the third set but was not finished since the match was clinched. While it is always disappointing to end the season with a loss, the boys can be proud of how hard they played and of the impressive season they had this spring. On Thursday and Friday, the MBA boys who qualified for the individual state tournament will head back to Murfreesboro to compete.
