Big Red Bowlers beat Goodpasture Christian in tight battle

After the first round, MBA was up 8-2, but if it were not for John Wallace finishing his 10th frame with a strike to win his game 215-213, and the team holding a narrow lead in pinfall (996-976), the score would have been 3-5.

Round two was even closer, with Goodpasture winning 3 games, MBA 2, one game tied, and MBA edging pinfall 958-955!

It was only in round three that the Big Red pulled away, winning 19.5 to 7.5 (a score that doesn't do the closeness on the match any justice).

I was impressed at the great spirit in which the match was played, despite how close it was, and I was proud of the boys not wavering in their focus and belief when the opposition seemed to match us strike (and spare) for strike.
