3rd Place at Chickasaw Trails Invitational

On a beautiful morning near the Jesse Owens Birthplace Museum in scenic northern Alabama, the MBA harriers opened their season at the Chickasaw Trails Invitational. We finished third of thirty-three teams, behind McCallie and Vestavia Hills, in front of Huntsville and Hoover. Jack Wallace was third overall in 15:18, JP Newman was fourth in 15:29, and Gabe Guillamondegui was eleventh in 15:56. Charlie Warner and Wynn Humphrey rounded out the scoring five. All seven varsity runners ran personal best times.
 
The JV runners finished sixth of thirty-one teams. Cecil Ward was the top finisher for the JV and ran more than 3:30 faster than his best time from last year, as six of seven JV runners also ran personal best times.
