The JV soccer team developed well this season, shifting from a group of individuals that played hard in games to a collection of teammates that grew to understand their roles and create a product greater than the sum of their talents.
In their final game of the season, they visited Pope Prep, where a series of unusual events created some unfortunate circumstances. The team performed well in most aspects of the game except for finishing. Despite creating opportunities that we just barely could not finish off, the boys played as a team, displayed resilience in the face of poor Pope sportsmanship, and learned some lessons about maintaining identity despicable behavior.
Tying 0-0 was not the result we wanted, but our 9 win, 3 loss, and 2 tie season was an accurate reflection of this team's ability, and we are proud of the growth and experience gained this season.
