Varsity Track & Field Wins State!

For the first time since 2001, MBA's Track & Field team won the State Championship last evening at MTSU's Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium. I could write about it for pages, so I'll give you just the highlights here. If you want to hear about the MBA second all-time 4x200m relay time and Warner Hart's finish line lean, Jackson Reid's 300m hurdle win that turned things around for the team, Henry Ambrose's school-record vault, or Jack Wallace's 49.17-second 4x400m relay anchor leg that sealed the win, ask any of the track coaches. We'll gladly give you an event-by-event recap!

In short, the boys competed for the entire meet knowing that the point margin was going to be minuscule among MBA, Christian Brothers, and McCallie. Going into the final lap of the final race, MBA was up by a single point over Christian Brothers. The entire State Meet was going to be decided in the final lap of the 4x400m relay, and MBA came out on top by 1.71 seconds.
