Victorious at Ensworth

Despite quickly falling behind 2-0 in the first quarter, MBA emerged with a 6-2 victory in a hard-fought game with Harding Academy at Ensworth HS. Ian Sharbel and Ethan Vines provided three shutout quarters in goal, and a hard-hitting defensive unit denied Harding's 3-3 opportunities to get the ball inside. Just as it seem that the momentum might be shifting back to Harding, defenseman Will McCaskill singlehandedly stopped a fast break by stepping in the line of fire and preventing a sure goal with his body. The second half of the game provided some fantastic offensive moments including Clay Adams scoring one of his two goals off of a great assist by Matthew Johnson and two authoritative goals by Nick Kohler. Hayes McCord also scored twice in today's game in which 47 players saw action. The Big Red travel to Woodland Middle on Wednesday to face a tough Warrior team.
