MBA captured their second consecutive championship of the Highland Games at FRA by scoring 126 points outdistancing their nearest rival Brentwood Academy who scored 93 points and seven other teams. The highlight individual performance of the day was turned in by sophomore Patrick Crum who set a school record of 22' 6 1/2" breaking Alex Waddey's record set back in 1991. MBA won these events: the long jump relay (Patrick Crum, Perry Webb, E.J. Vinsang), shot put relay (Ben Bartholomew, Matt Ferrell, Robert Rolfe), discus relay (Ben Bartholomew, Preston Bailey, Matt Ferrell), pole vault relay (Christian Waddey, Leland Howe, Baker Mulherin), shuttle hurdle relay (Rich Tompkins, E. J. Vinsang, Carlton Baker), 4 X 800 relay(Michael Seitz, Charlie Byrge, Jack Hudson, David Smith), and 4 X 400 relay( Charlie Byrge, William Davis, Cullen Brown, Rich Tompkins), Junior Ben Bartholomew won the coveted Highland Game's Big Man award signifying his outstanding performances in the weight events.
