MBA Tracksters run away with the Metro Nashville Track Championship
At Harpeth Hall under the lights, MBA had an outstanding performance to score 179 points to win the O'Charley's Nashville Track and Field Championship and outdistance Father Ryan by 92 points in addition to 19 other teams. There were many high lights in addtion to the overwhelming win. 1. Junior Tyler Ramsden won the 800 run which in addition to his win in the 3200 and 2nd place in the 1600 earned him athlete of the meet honors. 2. Senior Rich Tompkins wins his second straight city title in the 300 intermediate hurdles and sets a new school record with a time of 38.57. 3. Junior E.J. Vinsang won the 110 meter high hurdle title with a time of 15.33. 4. The 4X800 meter relay team of Baker Mulherin, Charlie Byrge, David Smith, and Jack Hudson won the city championship with at time of 8:16.87.
