Big Red Shuts Out Vikings
The MBA 7th grade football team defeated Brentwood Middle School in a game which featured great plays on both sides of the ball for the Big Red. Jonah Rapphun started things off with a 37 yard TD run in the 1st quarter. Colton Black scored on the next possession, breaking through the Brentwood defense and running 87 yards for MBA's second touchdown. Jalen Hurd took the ball in for the two point conversion to make the score 14-0. David Harrison was a force on the kickoff team, making two huge solo tackles to keep the Vikings deep in their own territory to start their drives. Just before the half, Samuel Bamigboye took the ball in from 4 yards out, and Tucker Voges completed a pass to David Spencer for the two point conversion to make the halftime score 22-0. MBA did not let up in the second half, scoring quickly on a 5 yard run by D.J. Clark. Rem Houghton caught a Montgomery Turner pass for two to make the score 30-0 Big Red.
