MBA won the Highland Games at FRA for the 4th straight year. After winning the discus and pole vault relays on Friday afternoon, MBA won three more relays along with strong finishes in several other events to outdistance the field of the Highland Games. The winning relay teams on Saturday were the Long Jump Relay (Patrick Crum, Chase Owen, Perry Webb), the Stone Throw Relay (Scott Bubis, Wesley Johnson, Andrew Phillips), and the Caber Toss Relay (Scott Bubis, Wesley Johnson, Fitz Lassing). Wesley Johnson's perfomances in the discus, shot put, caber toss, and stone relays earned him the broadsword and the Big Man Award for the games. This is the 4th straight year that an MBA athlete has earn this honor, Michael Swett (2006) and Ben Bartholmew (2007 & 2008). Coach Robert Pruitt holds the rotating Highland Games Blount sympolic of the winning team for this years games. Senior Wesley Johnson proudly displays the broadsword award symbolic of the most outstanding big man in the Highland Games.
Senior Clark Benton throws the shot put 44' 11" in the Shot Put Relay in helping MBA to finish secong in that event.
